George Garza Jr.
George Garza, Jr. was born in February of 1985 and raised in San Antonio, TX. Musically, George has been singing since he was a child and began performing on acoustic guitar and electric bass as a teenager. Post graduation, he attended Mediatech Institute at Austin Sound Lab within Arlyn Studios, completing a course in Music Business and receiving official Pro Tools certification as a Studio Engineer. He is a founding member of Local 782, a volunteer based music coalition group focusing on peer-to-peer career education and networking. In 2013, George was appointed President of M.U.S.I.C. Project, a startup nonprofit that links volunteer musicians with various organizations for music programming, mentorship, and performances, as well as seeks to improve working conditions within the San Antonio music community. Currently, he is a member of the band Pop Pistol while also performing solo as a singer-songwriter. George’s ambition is to make a living as a pioneer in the ever-changing new music industry and maintain a strong connection to the community with philanthropic intentions.
